A gorgeous sydney garden wedding

Happy new year everyone!

With a small breather before I am back in the thick of wedding season, one of my first orders of business for 2012 is to clear the backlog of beautiful images sitting on my desktop that have been waiting impatiently to grace the pages of this blog!

First up is Rebekah and Harry’s wedding :)

Rebekah came to me on short notice for her wedding flowers – I’m so glad I was available as I loved every moment of working with her! She was delightful and so was her taste in flowers. Together we created the perfect bridal bouquet, and it turned out to be one of my all-time favourites. Textured, interesting, and full of fun, this bouquet was personality plus, and suited Beck perfectly.

There is great responsibility that comes with being chosen to be a part of people’s wedding days and I never take forgranted the trust that couples put in me to deliver on their vision. Even after all this time, I still hold my breath a tiny bit when dropping off bouquets, releasing it only after I get the smile, the hug (or the happy tears!) that confirm it was exactly as they had wanted it to be.

In the case of Beck, I barely had time to hold my breath before she came running out of her room, squealing as soon as she saw the bouquet and table arrangements I was carrying. And, exhale. That sound will forever be music to my ears!

Beck and Harry had their wedding at home – with just 11 wedding guests, how could it be anything but intimate and wonderfully personal. Throw in Robyn Pattison (world’s best celebrant, I kid you not) and I have no doubt it it was the most magical of days for everyone there.

Thank you Rebekah and Harry for letting me be a part of your joyous celebration! Thank you also to Yoori Rose Photography for sharing these wonderful images.
