A sea of pink flowers… for a good cause!

When I started my business, I hoped one day I would be able to use it as a way to give back, and in some small way, pay forward all the good stuff life has given me. And really, who doesn’t love to support a good cause?

So I was so happy to hear of Black Tie 4 Breast Cancer and excited to have the chance to contribute to their fundraising dinner. BT4BC works with the Prince of Wales Hospital and raises funds to benefit breast cancer patients at the hospital, as well as the development of the hospital’s Cancer Centre. BT4BC is run by a group of incredible young women, and (as is often the case when strong, determined and talented chickies band together) the event has been an amazing success. In the two years it has been held, the event has grown incredibly, and raised over $250,000! So I was very excited to jump onboard and help them out with this year’s event.

Butterfly Philosophy donated the table centrepieces for the 68 (!!) table event at The Westin’s Ballroom….we sure got a work out ferrying stuff from one side of the ballroom to the other! Being in support of a breast cancer charity, it was only natural to turn to all things pink! So I got pretty pink things….

Pink dahlia flower

…. furry pink things….

pink celosia flower

…. spikey pink things….

pink ball flowers

and created a range of centrepieces fitting for the event’s Secret Garden theme. A few quick snaps while we were setting up….

Thank you Kelly, Jenny & Sarah for all your hard work on Saturday in making everything look so pretty and perfect. I would be buried under a mountain of pink dahlias if not for you guys! A shot of us all midway through setup :)

Hope a great night was had by all and lots of $$$$$ raised! To learn more about BT4BC and see how you can help support this awesome event, visit their website here! xx
